After asking for my public holiday, I decided to plan a trip to go to Malaysia. It was a wonderful trip because I promised to my friend two years ago that I would visit her place when she came to Vietnam for travelling. My friend and I together went to Rawang, Kuala Lumpur and Melaka last week. I will show you how I spent in Malaysia in details.
Total cost for my trip: 65$S (3 days)
Main transportation: Teksi (Taxi), Monorail, KTM (train), bus
Currency: RM (1$S = 2.4RM)
We taked a StarMart bus in Golden Mile (near Lavender MRT) from Singapore to KL (25$s/pax). Actually you can use any service in here because the price and service is not so different. It's better if you book the tickets in advance. However, you can come directly to the bus service and just get on the bus except on weekend. Our bus started from 2pm while the typical time was 1.30pm, that means it was late nearly 30' compared with the schedule. Moreover, in the custom, there're two persons lost and the bus driver had to leave them back. So, you should be careful and on time when travel in Malaysia or Singapore. Below are some bus services for you to follow:

It takes about 5 hours from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur. It will stop near Imbi station (StarMart), so you just need to buy a ticket (1.6RM) to go to KL Sentral.
We stayed in my friend's house, so didn't pay for accommodation in Malaysia. If you don't have any friend, I will introduce for you some good hostel in KL for you to stay:
+ Hotel China Town Inn
52-54, Jalan Petaling, Kuala Lumpur 50000, Malaysia

+ Cube Hotel
180 Jalan Pudu, Kuala Lumpur 55100, Malaysia
Telephone : +60 03-2145-1180
From KL Sentral, you can take KTM to go to TBS Selatan terminal. From here you can take bus to go any where from Malaysia to Singapore.
Places to visit in Malaysia:
1. Rawang: we buy a KTM ticket (3.6RM) from KL Sentral to Rawang. There is a tourism location in this place called SELANGOR where you can swim or picnic on the mountain.
2. Kuala Lumpur: this is the most interesting places for travelling and shopping. From here, you can visit Petronas Tower, KL Tower, Botanic Garden, Bird Park...
3. Melaka: from KL Sentral, you can catch KTM to go to Bandar Salak Selatan. In the TBS Building, you can buy a ticket (10RM) to Melaka on even to Singapura. When you come to Melaka Sentral, it is easy and cheap for you to catch a bus No.17 (1RM) to go to Melaka River - the most interesting place for traveller. If you catch a Teksi (taxi), it must take at least 15RM/1 way.
Back to Singapore
In Melaka Sentral, you can go to any ticket counter and buy one. It takes about 22RM (10$S) / ticket. When you are in Singapore, you should buy 1 way ticket and then buy the one back from Malaysia. It should be cheaper than you buy 2 way tickets from Singapore.
Have a nice day!
